Student Spotlight: Cassidy Kline

Tell us about yourself.
Hi everyone! My name is Cassidy Kline and I am from Mentor, Ohio. I graduated from Duquesne with a double major in Digital Marketing Analytics and Management, with a minor in sales. Some of my previous work experience includes internships with Giant Eagle and ambassadorships with Amazon Prime Student, Xfinity on Campus, Uber Eats, Fifth Season, and European Summer. What led me to this program was wanting to make an impact on the world. My career goals coming out of this program are to work within the fashion industry and help make businesses more ethical and socially responsible, especially within fast fashion.

What is one of your favorite things to do in Pittsburgh?
I love to go to Delanie’s or Page’s with my friends or Wednesday karaoke night at Smiling Moose! Overall, I love trying new food, restaurants, and exploring the city.

What are you most looking forward to in the One-Year MBA program?
I’m excited to meet new people, collaborate and work as a team. I’m excited to get to know my classmates, as we all come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives.

Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
The most interesting place I have ever been is Greece! I went for 2 weeks in May of 2022. I visited Santorini, Ios, Heraklion, Athens, and Chania. All the islands were breathtaking, and the food was delicious! On the trip, we hiked the Acropolis. went snorkeling to see a 100-year-old shipwreck, cliffside wine tasting, and sailed to a private island for a picnic. If you haven’t been, you should definitely put Greece on your bucket list! The culture, food, music, and environment are phenomenal!

What is the best way to start the day?
The best way to start the day is listening to a good upbeat song while stretching. Stretching helps me to wake up and then nothing puts me in a better mood than listening to a song that radiates happiness. One of my go-tos is “Dancing in the Moonlight” by King Harvest. It helps to start your day off on a happy note.

Where would you spend all of your time if you could?
I would spend all my time outdoors, or at Kitty Queen Cat Rescue! I love working out, hiking, walking, and just overall being outside! In my free time, I volunteer at Kitty Queen Cat Rescue on McKnight Road! There are about 20 cats currently, all of which are able to be adopted! I’d spend all my time here because I love cats and they are all so sweet, playful, and just want to be pet! If you like cats, it’s a great mood booster!
