Student Spotlight: Morgan Gish

Tell us about yourself.
Hello! My name is Morgan Gish, I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. I was recruited to be a student-athlete at Tennessee Tech University and started that journey in the summer of 2019. I majored in Communication Studies and double minored in Marketing Promotion and Event Planning. Along the ride at Tennesse Tech, I met amazing professors, classmates, teammates and coaches. I graduated in early May of 2023. Shortly after, in mid-May of 2023, I was recruited to be a graduate transfer student-athlete for Duquesne University. I had immediate interest in the One-Year MBA. Outside of school and volleyball I enjoy spending time with my family and with my cat, Ivy.

What are you most looking forward to in the One-Year MBA?
I am looking forward to the knowledge and connections I will gain from this program. I also am looking forward to the cohort aspect of the program. Being able to share ideas and gain knowledge with my cohort will be a fantastic learning experience.

What is one of your favorite things to do in Pittsburgh?
My favorite activity to do in Pittsburgh is to walk around the city. Some of my favorite places to walk are the point and the Strip District.

Who inspires you to be better?
My parents and siblings inspire me to be better. Each of them have unique successes and they each give me the encouragement and support for me to do the same. They lead by example.

What is the best way to start the day?
The best way to start the day is with a walk or a workout to set the tone for the day and then a big breakfast.
