Since starting the MBA-Sustainable Business Practices program, I have grown so much. I have gained so much business experience, learned to work with people from different backgrounds, manage the workload better, and have created lifelong memories. I truly believe that if it weren’t for the camaraderie in the cohort, I would not be where I am today. Because this program is smaller, I have learned that the most important aspect of business is teamwork. We all help each other with literally anything, from school, life, work, or just general advice on life. The people in the cohort will be your support for everything, just as you are to them.
Graduate school is different from undergraduate school because we are all “adults” now. Everyone has grown since undergrad and has had some real-life experience; it makes school a lot different. At the time I am writing this, I just finished the second semester and boy it was a rough one. However, looking back, I have grown so much since the start of the program in June and how much I have gained since then. My senior year of college, I was completely lost on what I wanted to do (part of which is why I did this program) and was so nervous for what the next chapter of my life will be. This experience has helped me understand where I want to go in life and has helped me gain confidence in myself and capabilities. I have grown both personally and professionally throughout this program.
If you’re reading this and thinking “Is this program for me?” I would tell you, I was thinking the same thing when I started. Now with that being said, I can’t make that decision for you because in the end I don’t know you and I’m not going tell you what to do, but just know that I would not be the person I am today if it weren’t for this experience.
