Tell us about yourself.
Hi! My name is Aleigh Heckman and I’m from Sunbury, PA. During my time in undergrad at Saint Francis University I studied Management with a concentration in healthcare management. A major factor that led me to the MBA-SBP program was the ability to complete an accelerated MBA as well as the real-life working experiences we can have while in this program. The ability to also learn more about sustainability practices was an attractive aspect as well; the world is always in need of new sustainable activities, and I would love to be able to contribute even the slightest bit. After completion of this program, I’m hoping to find a job in either health insurance, general hospital administration, or human resources. The ability to start my journey in the workforce with an MBA will be a great advantage and will make me feel the most prepared that I can be.
What are you most looking forward to in the MBA-SBP program?
The client projects are something that will be hard work but will pay off a lot in the long run. I’m also super excited to travel to Switzerland since I’ve never left the country!
What skill would you like to master?
I’m working on getting better at accounting which has always been a class I can never entirely get; I can pass the class with good grades, but I still always wish I could understand the concepts a little better. I also really need to get better at sleeping earlier and becoming a morning person!
What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
Embarrassingly enough I could give a lot of detail on a presentation about German Shepherds since I’ve owned them my whole life; or I could give a presentation on all things you could know about the game of soccer.
What are you most looking forward to in the next 10 years?
I’m really looking forward to the point where I am in the workforce and am comfortable in my job and having that moment of realization where I’m where I belong and everything I worked for has paid off.
Who inspires you to be better?
My sister. She has been through a lot in her life and she’s going through law school right now. She never fails to amaze me with how smart she is and how successful she is in all her classes.
