Student Spotlight: Nikki Mance

Tell us about yourself.
My name is Nikole (or Nikki) Mance and I am from Pittsburgh, PA. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. During my junior year at Miami, I knew that I wanted to be a more well-rounded individual if I wanted to stay in the business field. By then, I knew it was too late to pick up another major unless I wanted to stay longer and let me just say, out-of-state tuition hurts (thank you mom and dad). When I was researching for graduate schools, I was only aiming for an MBA. I did not think much about it. When I learned about Duquesne’s MBA-SBP, I took interest immediately. Sustainability has been a big part of my life, and once I found out I was accepted into the program, I felt that I became the happiest person alive! I look forward to how I grow as an individual during my time in the program!

What is one of your favorite things to do in Pittsburgh?
One of my favorite things to do is attend the Three Rivers Arts Festival!

What skill would you like to master?
The skill I would like to master is cooking, I rely on Chef Mike (Microwave) too much.

What could you give a 30-minute presentation on with absolutely no preparation?
I would be able to do a presentation on my horse, Colorado! (Yes, he is named after a state)

Where is the most interesting place you’ve been?
The most interesting place I’ve been to has to be Croatia! I enjoyed the atmosphere and buildings were beautiful.
